A Late Thanksgiving

I had meant to write an update on Thanksgiving after all I have a lot to be thankful for, but my site was on the glitch from a security update gone bad. It actually works out better that I was able to get things back up and running just now.
Last Friday I had my first CT Scan since having finished the treatments of MEDI4736 and today I went in to find out the results. Once again the scans show No Evidence of Disease, HUZZAH!
AND (drumroll…) I can stop taking the blood thinner, YIPEE!

On a sad note Christina Urso is taking a new position with INOVA which is a health care system in Northern VA. She is going to be working with melanoma patients. One of the myriad reasons she is switching jobs is melanoma patients have higher survival rates. The sad fact is she’s gotten burned out with us gastric cancer patients, we just don’t fair so well. I can’t imagine the emotional toll this must take on healthcare professionals.

22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.[/blockquote]
