Yes it’s that day again. Another chemotherapy infusion. This makes treatment number 4. Nothing new to report other than we’re playing around with the anti-nausea medicines. I normally get pre-treated with Zofran, which is used fairly often by everyone getting chemo. Last time I was receiving it I realized a lot of the “chemo-head” feeling I have was due the Zofran, so this time around I had them skip the Zofran and stuck to only receiving the Emend (another anti-nausea medicine). On the plus side not so much with the chemo-head. On the negative side more nausea. I told my DW on the way home the Zofran may win out over the nausea from the chemo. I’m going to give it another hour and see how I’m doing before taking the Zofran I have at home in pill form.
But for all that, as good as I felt this past Sunday, it’s well worth it. For a few days I’ll feel blech and then I should start snapping back out of it. As I’ve said before this just finally gives me an excuse for acting loopy. It’s also a primo excuse for lots of naps. 🙂
