Round 2

Round Two of my chemotherapy treatment was officially over yesterday. The midline catheter was extremely problematic and so I went in early yesterday to have it removed. I only had another 2 hours to go so it wasn’t that big a deal and the nurses all felt it was the best thing to do. I’m so thankful I’ll be getting the mediport inserted next week and won’t have to go thru getting another midline for my treatments.

All in all I’m doing OK. A little nausea but I’ve been able to eat and haven’t been sick like the last time. They gave me Emend this time as another of the pre-treatment anti-nausea medications and I think it really helped.

If the sore on my back is any indicator on how the chemo is working then we’re definitely heading in the right direction as it’s now a 1/4 of the size it was just a few weeks ago!
